A Viking "tent house"?
by Hjordis Olvirsdottir
I have recently become aware of an item in the Osberg find which surprised me: a sort of "tent house". The reference to the tent house came from an email list I'm on, and the person who posted the information said it came from Osebergfundet II, A.W. Brogger & H. Schetelig, Christiania, 1927, no ISBN number. There are apparently other volumes to the Osebergfundet, numbering I, III, and V (volume IV being "unavailable" at this time). She also made some of the scanned pages from the book available.
Here is the text regarding the tent house:
And here is a page with pictures of the tent house:
At this time, that's about all I know about the tent house. Research in progress! If you can add anything to what we know, please email us with the info - thanks!
